                                                                                        Following in her father’s footsteps, Nicola’s career began with JCB.
                                                                                        Although unlike Iain, who had worked in Glasgow, Nicola started at their
                                                                                        World Headquarters in Rocester. She spent over two years completing
                                                                                        their Commercial Sales and Marketing Scheme, which included time at
                                                                                        JCB Inc in Savannah, USA. Her final role in the company was in Product
                                                                                        Sales for Compact Products. Nicola joined GAP in 2018 as a Major Account
                                                                                        Manager in Stafford.


                                                                                                            Growing up there was always a digger
                                                                                                            in our garden, as Dad was usually working
                                                                                                     on his latest ‘project’. Even as youngsters, we could
                                                                                                     see his infectious passion for the hire industry and
                                                                                                     dedication to the job. Joining the family firm in 2018
                                                                                                     was an incredibly exciting opportunity for me, having
                                                                                                     watched the growth of GAP over the years. To now be
                                                                                                     a part of that feels very special, and I’m so proud to be
                                                                                                     one of the third generation working in the business.
                                                                                                     Working with family isn’t always easy, but Douglas
                                                                                                     and Iain complement each other extremely well in
                                                                                                     their leadership of GAP. Their vast knowledge and
                                                                                                     experience make them excellent role models for us all.
                                                                                                     Alongside their leadership team, they have managed
                                                                                                     to diversify and grow the business, while keeping a
                                                                                                     family feel, which is so crucial to GAP.”
