Celebrating 50 years of GAP /

James Anderson

James spent three years at RBS/NatWest completing their
Corporate Graduate Scheme in Scotland, before moving to
London in the Real Estate Finance Team. He joined GAP in
August 2016 as a Major Account Manager based in the South
East. In August 2018, he was appointed General Manager for
Croydon Plant & Tools.

GAP has always been an important part of
our lives and it was exciting to hear of GAP’s
success as we grew up. During the school summer
holidays, I worked in our local depot and I always
knew I would come back to GAP, having seen the
infectious atmosphere and family feel as everyone
worked together to ensure the job was done well.

In my experience, the difference working for a
family business is we have a true sense of pride
in our ability to adapt quickly to customer needs
and a passionate focus on the long term. No other
company in the hire industry has the experience
that Douglas and Iain bring to the table. Having seen
what they have achieved, it’s a great incentive and
motivation to continue their success as the third
generation.”
